Forgiveness is something that we must have as Christians.  Without God forgiving us, we cannot escape our sins.  Without our forgiveness of others, God won't forgive us.  It is so important to forgive.  It is the pivotal point of everything we do as Christians.  If we can't forgive, neither will we be forgiven.  It's pretty simple.

From Jesus Himself:

"Matthew 6:14-15 KJVR
(14)  For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
(15)  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

It's pretty clear what we need to do.

Also, we must love.  If we cannot love, when we don't know God our Father.  If we love, we can cover a multitude of sins.  Without love, we are nothing.

1 Peter 4:8 KJVR
(8)  And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Matthew 5:43-48 MKJV
(43)  You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy."
(44)  But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you,
(45)  so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
(46)  For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax-collectors do the same?
(47)  And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax-collectors do so?
(48)  Therefore be perfect, even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.

1 John 4:7-8 MKJV
(7)  Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God.
(8)  The one who does not love has not known God. For God is love.

What is love?  It is being kind to people.  What is kindness?  Do a search in your Bible, and discover who God is; for indeed, God is love.
